Is there another way to send it to you? When I try drag the mouse and highlight it to copy and paste it only offers to delete the item etc. Kayona, could just copy and send if you want.

Attach the log to your post. Click Add Reply, look near the bottom and you'll see "File Atatchments". It's not the preffered method, but we'll accept it. <_<

Hello

You Have A Variant of the CoolWebSearch Trojan.

Please Download CWShredder from
http://www.spywarein.../CWShredder.exe and run the Program. Press the "Fix Button" Let it fix all variants. Close the program.

Then, download Spybot Search and Destroy from http://www.safer-net...p?page=download . Once installed it is important to update before scanning with it. After updating click the Search and Destroy button so you may do a full system scan. When it finishes the scan fix everything in RED.

Where you are running hijackthis is not a good place. Can you please create a folder in My Documents and call it Hijack (or something similar). Then extract hijackthis into the folder you have created and run it from there. The reason for this is that Hijackthis creates backup files, and they will be all over your program files folder.

After all of that, scan with hijackthis and post a new log here in this thread.

Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you, my mother had a stroke and life has been a nightmare. I did as you said and couldnt post the hijack log to the forum, I dont know why it just wont. Still cant access anything in control panel, tried to contact symantecs but cant enable cookies to do so, cant turn off system restore for some virus repair items that symantecs has. Got this message, system file RUNDLL32EXE. has been damaged or is missing, might not be able to acess items in control panel until you restore this file from WIndows setup using windows system file checker. Is this one of my startup disks? If so, I tried that a while back and it wouldnt work. Any suggestions? SIGH. Thanks Kayona

Sorry to hear of your troubles Kayona :D

It really helps to put these little computer problems in perspective. <_<

If you can't post your Hijack This log, try attaching it to your post. If that dosen't work send me a personal message and I'll reply with an email address to send the log to. :D
