Windows hangs with right click

whenever i right click a file or program it hangs and i have to shut it down with task manager. it also hangs if i select file! right clicking on the desktop is fine?? this is well anoying HELP

Update the mouse driver. Put the xp disk in the drive and click start, run, type
sfc.exe /scannow fix all errors it finds.
