I use a combination of AdAware, SpyBot, and HiJack This (HJT) to keep my system clean, but it's picked up something that blocks HJT.

When I launch HJT, I briefly see the scan screen, and then a Windows error box tells me, "No Viruses, Trojans, or Spyware found, Status OK." I have version 1.99.0.1. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times and this does not help.

I've tried that coolsearch shredder and that does't seem to find anything.

I've had this problem for sometime and neither SpyBot nor AdAware has ever been able to find and fix whatever malware is causing it. I'm suffering horribly from pop-ups right now. I'm sure if I could get HJT working again that I could get everything cleaned up. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi

can you visit Panda and do an online scan ?? Save the report and post it in your next reply !!

You said version 1.99.0.1 ??

Try downloading HJT from here and save it in C:\HJT folder. Try running this version of HJT and tell me how it goes. If HJT can run and generate a scan report, post it here along with the Panda scan report
