I have just had to reformat hd after a trojan horse virus. Everything has gone okay except that now OE will not download headers/messages from newsgroups with a date after the reformat date.

All headers/messages before reformat date will download and email is fine.

Any ideas?

Why did you reformat?

Sorry I can't help with your problem, But I do have a suggestion if you want a more reliable, more secure, more feature rich E-mail client.
Visit Thunderbird and check it out. It is free and I highly reccomend it over Outlook Express.

Reformatted due to a trojan horse virus (specialgoods). Couldn't remove through 'fixes'.

Will look at Thunderbird.
