Keep Spyware Out

I've never posted a message to a forum before so hopefully I do this right.

I had the Aurora spyware on my computer and could not get it off. I am thrilled to report that I found your forum and followed the directions on the start here section for suspecting spyware/malware and was able to rid my computer of it!!!

I came back today and noticed that the steps have changed and do not reference downloading and running the Ewido Security Suite. This is the program that I believe removed the Aurora spyware from my machine. I was wondering if this is a product that is recommended to be purchased and continue to run it? Basically, I'm looking for recommendations of what I should do to keep spyware/malware off my machine. Is this something you can recommend?

Thanks again for helping me get rid of Aurora - what a nasty spyware! Appreciate any advice for what to run to keep it away.
