I have 411 ferret popups on my computer and they are driving me insane.
i have spybot search and destroy but it wont get rid of them.
i tried downloading hijack this or adaware but i have to pay for it and cant afford it.
when i try downloading it from this site it takes me to a 'you're not allowed to' page.
i am so over surfing the net for hours for info on how to get rid of this crap and getting nowhere.

Hey Bec. Welcome to Geeks to Go. :D

Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

And it's free. <_<

Hi,
I'm not able solve your main problem, but perhaps the secondary ones.
-- You have not to pay for the free version of ad-aware. Please take a look again <_<
-- I had the same issue downloading HiJackThis froom this site. At that screenshot "you are not allowed ...", I tried logging in again, and it worked.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.
