Javascript link problems

I have scanned the system, and removed all unwanted files from the system, recently I removed a virus, but I was having problems with javascript popup links...etc just about any javascript links that use javascript to open something wont work, ive tried everything. Ive checked settings, ive turned off everything that has to do with anything similar or even remotely related. this is getting really annoying, ive tried reinstalling internet explorer. etc...

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go. Have you tried un-installing JAVA and the going to http://www.sun.com/ and getting the current Java version and installing that? This may be worth a try since you already re-installed IE.
