I turned on my cumputer this a.m. and got the error "error loading powrprof.dll"in a run dll box. I cannot start in safe mode and the desktop is froze with just my wallpaper, no icons. Tried to perform hard reboot and during scandisk it said it detected a long invalid filename and cannot fix it, run scandisk for windows. I am unable to go any further because windows locks up with just my desktop wallpaper and no icons. Please help. :tazz:

Figured it out. Just reloaded windows to replace whatever file was missing. Ran Scandisk and then ran my virus scan along with spybot and adware. Nothing found but I am up and running again. :tazz:
