I apologize for the wait, but I'm consulting with my colleagues as I see no reason your tabs should be gone. What happened just prior to the missing tabs? Did you make any kind of changes to your computer at all (even downloading or removing a program)?

Ok, I may have a possible solution.

I'm not sure if it's a hidden file or not, so you may want to set your computer to show hidden files:
Open Windows Explorer.
Go up to Tool > Folder Options
Click the View tab.
Select "Show hidden files and folders"
UNcheck "hide file extensions for known file types"
Click Apply. Click OK.

Using Windows Explorer, look to see if you can find this file:

C:\WINDOWS\WindowsShell.Manifest
