My system crashed and I have to cold boot the set by turning off the power switch.

Now it has kinda of norton error when I started the window 98.

Tried to search on the net and get a few suggestion.

Tried the SYMNRT and the error goes away.

Now the problem is I can't seem to install back the nav 2005.

It always stop half way and say "installation failed"

Anyone knows is that a utility or script or some kind soul creation of TOTAL removing of norton's file, directory, registry and so on just like reformating the hard drive.

I personally think it is not possible as it always seem like something is still hiding somewhere causing problem....

ok I bet I know the problem. go to start run and type in regedit.

navigate to hkey_local_machine, system, current control set, enum. right click on root and select permisions. the object "everyone" should have full control (set allow).

try to reinstall and see what happens.
