Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Hi Dan,

Lets do this one more time

• Please reboot into Safe Mode by restarting your computer and pressing F8 as your computer is booting up. Then select the Safe Mode option.
• Once in Safe Mode, please run Killbox.
• Click "Replace on Reboot" and check the "Use Dummy" box.
• Paste the following into the top "Full Path of File to Delete" box.
  • C:\WINDOWS\System32\WVGKA.DAT
• Click the red-and-white "Delete File".
• Click "Yes" at the Replace on Reboot prompt.
• Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.
• Repeat steps 5-9 above for these files:
  • C:\WINDOWS\System32\DOXMNOO.EXE
  • C:\WINDOWS\System32\HMLPJM.EXE
  • C:\WINDOWS\System32\INGSW.DLL
  • C:\WINDOWS\System32\NUYIPUU.DLL
  • C:\WINDOWS\system32\afiiiexx.dll
  • C:\WINDOWS\system32\guard.tmp
• Click "Replace on Reboot" and check the "Use Dummy" box.
• Paste the following file into the top "Full Path of File to Delete" box.
  • C:\WINDOWS\system32\lvani12n.dll
• Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button.
• Click "Yes" at the Replace on Reboot prompt.
• Click "Yes" at the Pending Operations prompt to restart your computer. You do not need to reboot into Safe Mode this time.
• When your computer reboots, please run Find-Qoologic2.bat again and post the new log here.

Here's the latest Q log.
Also... if it's of any significance...
Your instructions about running Killbox say to "Click 'Yes" at the Replace on Reboot prompt." When I run it (with both "Replace on Reboot" and "Use Dummy" boxes checked) the first prompt I get says "Delete on Reboot", not "Replace". The next one is "Pending Operations" as your instruction says.
Also, a new error message box appeared on this last reboot: "DDE Server: RTUI.EXE - Bad Image - The application or DLL c:\Windows\System32\nuyipuu.dll is not a valid Windows file".
I am also still getting the messages I noted in previous posts about components not being found, particularly the cfgmgr32.dll .
And, I've begun having a lot of problems both with starting and shutting down Windows. It will hang and lock at the Windows is shutting down screen, and at the desktop without any icons yet added. I have left it in both conditions for up to a half hour to see if it just needed more time, but have had to use the warm reboot button numerous times.

Run remove.bat.

Download DllCompare http://www.greyknigh.../DllCompare.exe and run it. Click on the 'Locate.com' button. Wait a few seconds and then click on the 'Compare' button. Let it run, then click on 'Make a log of what was found'. Post that log here. Note: If you are having problems using DllCompare (16 bit error), copy autoexec.nt from the C:\WINDOWS\repair folder to C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder. Now try running DllCompare.

Well we seem to have a problem if this guy keeps on making a comeback -

We guys were discussing this yesterday only that the latest variant of Qoologic seems to disappear but makes a comeback. Darn !!!

I will just check what the latest is and revert.
