Before I do something stupid, I thought I better ask the question. I am practicing doing a restore from an image on a self installed second HD in my Dell Dimension 8400. OS is XP Pro and file system is NTSF. I am using a Seagate 300GB SATA internal HD for storage and backups. It works fine when using Ghost 9 however to do a restore the Ghost browser sees the primary HD but does not see the Seagate drive. Seagate says that at f6 the SATA Controller Card driver has to be supplied on a floppy when booting from their CD. The following appears to be what I am looking for but I don’t know enough about this stuff to be sure and don’t want to permanently change anything on the chipset that will prevent the computer from working normally in a regular XP boot from my main HD. I made the floppy from the following on the Intel site.

Floppy Configuration Utility - Intel® Matrix Storage Manager [F6FLPY32.EXE]
"The file contains the Intel® Matrix Storage Manager Floppy Configuration Utility. This utility will create a floppy disk containing the RAID driver files for installation on a 32-bit operating system. This floppy can be used to pre-install the Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver during the F6 portion of Windows* setup."

Is this what I need or am I going down the wrong path

Thanks gang
