Sorry to spam my thread but I can't edit.

When I view "Resources by connection" in the Device Manager, everything is on it's own IRQ except the following

(PCI) 21 Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller
(PCI) 21 Via Rev 5 or later USB Universal Host Controller
(PCI) 21 Via Rev 5 or later USB Universal Host Controller
(PCI) 21 Via Rev 5 or later USB Universal Host Controller
(PCI) 21 Via Rev 5 or later USB Universal Host Controller

I had some trouble with both the USB controller and the LAN controller when I installed Windows.

I had to use the Via all-in-ones to search for the drivers.

I have no idea why the same thing would be in there so many times.

I got a brand new stop error today.

Stop: 0x0000008E (0XC0000005, 0XBFBC0176, 0XEB03597C, 0X00000000)

NV4_DISPdll Address BFBC0176 Base at BFB7000 Date Stamp 40F32b87

The error suggests going into my bios and disabling caching and shadowing. It looks like a generic "you might try this" type of solution but I'll take a look and see if those things are enabled in my bios.

If anyone wants to try their hand at debugging the minidumps, I've uploaded them at dslreports. They've been very helpful in the past with my connection setup and tweaking and they permit uploads.

I really have no idea what's going on. If I could just find out which component is the underlying problem, I'd obviously be much better off.

I can't help but suspect it's the Abit MB. I have nothing to base that on, but setting up the MB was not easy and Windows didn't even load the USB or LAN controllers when I installed. I had to search on the Via Hyperion driver disk to find em. Not even sure the drivers there match the actual full set of the most recent Hyperion All-in-ones that I have installed and I'm not sure if that even makes a difference.

But, what do I know?
