:D Hi there, posted a while ago that I couldn't run scanreg /fix in DOS? (Always locks up when doing system.dat) Still can't! Believe me I've been every where to sort this! I got a copy of Microsofts RegClean that found 191 errors in the reg, (Though it can't fix all entries) don't have any errors any more with that program! Got a program called "Easy clean", got rid of a few more entries, (Mainly DAP entries of previous downloads). Spybot, Adaware6, McAfee Stinger and AntiVir finds nothing! So, I thought, a way around is to go into DOS and do regedit c: export.reg, then import it after to compress and clean? Regedit tried but reported that it couldn't and returned? (Have now got a rbbad.cab) What the f** is going on? Scanreg & Regedit do not work anymore! Been all through Microsoft FAQs, they all expect it to work and have no suggestion that they won't? This has all happened since installing BT Broadband! Can they lock the registry? In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE should you have an entry as "Full logging=no", it's all I can find that might be erronious? Scanregw always works, always creates a new CAB when I boot, and will create a new backup! <_< regards Kev.
