I have tried uninstalling it through the Control Panel method, and also on The Sims 2 menu on the Start menu. Each way, my PC makes a noise as if something is working, then after a few minutes, it stops. AAAAHHHH!!! Please get this off my PC!

I had a similar problem and found that when I deleted the files for the game manually then re installed the game it was then able to uninstall correctly with out further problem.
