Hello supermichel, welcome to Geeks to Go! <_<

A lot of times when I start up my computer, XP has problems to start up and i get this black screen (DOS? Not sure) where I am asked if I want to start Windows in Safe mode, the last good configuration or as normal. Whether I click on just starting it normal or click on using the last good confiuration, it often takes several attempts to actually get XP to start up. The computer usually reboots several times and I have to go through this black screen each time. It's mega annoying. I did a scan with hijack this, here is my log. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

Please reboot into safe mode - How do I boot into "Safe" mode?.
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):
C:\WINDOWS\conscorr.exe

Please delete your temporary files. Double Click My Computer (WinXP: Navigate to Start --->My Computer)
You will see an icon representing your harddrive (most likely C: Drive) Right Click on the hard drive icon and click Properties at the
bottom of the fly out window. One the very first tab (General) you will see a button labeled "Disk Cleanup"...click that button.
Make sure the following are checked:
Downloaded Program Files
Temporary Internet Files and
Recycle Bin
Click OK and Disk Cleanup will delete those files for you.

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, and let us know how your system's working. <_<

<_< Thanks for your help. I did what you told me to do. But still had mega problems to get XP to start up. The computer rebooted 6 or 7 times. Each time I selected to start up Windows Normal. Eventually a blue screen appeared, telling me:
PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
and below:
*** STOP: 0x0000004E (0x00000002, 0x0000C233, 0x0001FFF8, 0x0000FFFF)
and it dumped physical memory.
After that it rebooted and did a Disk check:
Checking file system on C:
The type of the file system is FAT32.
After the system check it said that windows has found no problems.
Anyway, I finally got back into Windows, did another scan with hijackthis and here is the log.
