Installing Windows XP on a new build?

How would I go about putting in Windows XP onto a new computer that I'd build?
I have a Restore CD, but that came with my Emachines computer so I doubt I could install XP onto a new system with it.
Is there anyway to copy the windowsXP from the computer I have now to another one?

What about cloning the harddrive?
Although I guess that wouldnt work too well, they're completely different computers

But would it work If I just steal somebody elses windows XP CD and use it on my system? :tazz:
