how do u delete the history on ie ive tried tools>internet options>clear history but it doesnt work

Howdy:

Use Windows Explorer and navigate to your history folder.. Select all and delete!!

Or, get CCleaner

do you mean the history when you drop down the list in the addresses of your IE??

those involves some cached files which can be deleted if you delete all internet temp files.
