Well we find out a little more. I f i was to answer your question now it would be a stab in the dark. And could make things worse.
1. Have you made a mistake installing the drive?
2. Is it a primary or an additional (slave) drive your having trouble with?
3. I could go on....so please tell us as much as you posibly can.

That way we draw conclusions in ways to help you out. :D

It is installed properly. It is the main hard drive. Was going to run on Windows 95 instead of xp because the computer came with no disc when purchased from Walmart in 2001. Somewhat of a computer dumbass.Anyway, installed hard drive, received a message, boot drive error, insert system disc. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
