New hardware wizard on Windows 2000

I have a networked Win 2000 machine. I am trying to install a label printer. The printer is working properly but when I reboot my machine it says new hardware found and then will not install them. I found a fix for Windows XP in the registry and was wondering if anyone knew of a fix.
