Hi, my computer got infected with the psguard thing last night, and I've been following the instruction listed in to the one guy that I found on here, but it wasn't exactly the same so I figured I would post my own log. I ran all the suggested programs and cleared out alot of stuff off my computer. However, internet explorer is still not working with the about:blank stilll coming up in address box. Also, my background is stillthe white blinking screen, though I now have the option again to change it, my computer won't let any of the changes actually stick. Further, while my internet explorer doesn't work at all, netscape explorer hasn't been affected at all. (Only reason I can still get online.) So, a few of the issues have been fixed, but the background and my internet explorer are still down. I've posted the Hijack This log below.

While TeaTimer is an excellent tool for the prevention of spyware, it can sometimes prevent HijackThis from fixing certain things.
Please disable TeaTimer for now until you are clean. TeaTimer can be re-activated once your HijackThis log is clean.

• Open Spybot Search & Destroy.
• In the Mode menu click "Advanced mode" if not already selected.
• Choose "Yes" at the Warning prompt.
• Expand the "Tools" menu.
• Click "Resident".
• Uncheck the "Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of overall system settings) active." box.
• In the File menu click "Exit" to exit Spybot Search & Destroy.

Copy the part in bold below into notepad and save it as AVGoldfix.reg
Set Filetype to All Files and save it somewhere easy to find. We will use it later.

While your computer is restarting, tap the F8 key continually until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode, then hit enter.

Doubleclick the AVGoldfix.reg we made earlier.
And (still in safe mode) use the DiskCleanup Tool to empty all your Temp folders.

Delete the entire folder C:\Program Files\AntiVirusGold

In the Control Panel click Display > Desktop > Customize desktop > Website > Uncheck "Security Info"

Then boot back to normal, run HijackThis again and post a new log.
