Hey guys. I started on Bullguard but things got worse. I followed the steps you request before posting a log. Getting a few new DLL errors. The most common one is "Qttask caused an error in GXORRPO.DLL" and <unknown>. I run all these scans and after a couple days everything starts coming back. HELP PLEASE!

Before you fix anything can you send me a copy of:

Please send it (preferably zipped) to pieterATwilderssecurity.org (replace AT with @)

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

Reboot into safe mode and delete:

Boot back to normal and post a new log.

Hey Pieter. Sort of computer illiterate. How can I send you this file? Also Getting two errors "Can't Find [email protected]" on start-up and a virus constantly is found when AVG runs on startup 'C:\WINDOWS.SFITA.EXE. Thanks for your help and patiently waiting for your response. Also, when I reboot in safe mode, how do you want me to delete the files? with regedit, HJT or some other way? Ill wait till you tell me how to get the CA2.DLL to you. Thanks and sorry Im such an amateur:(

No problem. I have received the files from another victim, so you will not have to worry about those.

Deleting files can be done in Explorer.
I will give you the method for the first one as an example.

Doubleclick My computer
Doubleclick the icon for the C: drive
Doublelclick the PROGRAM FILES folder
Rightclick the SURFSIDEKICK 3 folder
From the menu choose Delete
You will be prompted if you are sure. Check if you selected what you wanted to delete and click OK.

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

OK Had some problems withKaspersky. It wont delete the problems it finds. Also had to delete my security programs t get my computer running. Anyway, heres the most recent HJT log. What do you recommend I run to prevent these problems in the future? Virus Protection, Popup blockers, adware? Should I use a different browser or ISP? AVG seemed to work pretty well. Does it block popups? Thanks again for your invaluable assistance.

Did the errors stop as well?

AVG is a decent free alternative, but I must add that Kaspersky does give you some value for the money it costs.
