Hi...

I got an old computer from my folk. I wanted to get it working for my son who is 7. There were a couple of little problems with it so I reformatted the drive. Now when I turn it on it comes up with an error invalid system disk. It won't read the floppy or cd drive.

Can someone help me please.

thanks

If cd do you have a windows 95 cd boot disk. Why did you reformat?

The tutorial at the top of this forum will help you. You will need to download a win95 boot floppy, you can get one from either

www.bootdisks.com

or

www.allbootdisks.com

you can use any computer to download and install it on a floppy. Note the drive letter of the cd-rom is R: for allbootdisks.

Howdy and welcome to G2G:

Go to www.bootdisk.com and get the Win98SE or WinME boot floppy files and extract those to a floppy.. They contain cd-rom drivers whereas, to my knowledge, the Win95 boot floppies don't..
