Hope someone can help been having some problems recently with my internet. Everytime I logon to a intenet account the screen displays the cannot be displayed screen. So I can't access any of my online accounts i.e bank, hotmail, paypal etc.

I was first of all using Norton which i had purchase a new subscription over 5 months ago and it started playing up so i dumped it and got bitdefender, which was ok to start off with. My problems all seem to start about a week after i loaded up when i tried to clean my computer up with progs like tune up and reg mechanic. So thinking this could have been the prob i reveted back to my old backups and again nothing seems to be working. Im started to get desperate. Been though the ewido ad-ware process and not coming up with any thing. Also can't update any of my bitdenfeder, ewido, spyblaster progs!? I'm running a home network with two laptops off a netgear wired router. Also tried changeing the IE windows setting and changing the browser to Firefox but for some reason everytime i fired up FF it wouldn't connect (Change the firewall and router settings but to o avail)? Any ideas on my list of probs

Any help would be appreaciate :tazz:

You said you removed Norton. Did you use the special downloadable tool at the symantec website in the support and knowlege section? Norton is kinda like a malware it's self, if you dont remove it with the special tools, parts of it will remain on your machine and cause major problems with other software you may try to run.

Managed to sort most of my issues out. Got rid of bitdefender and downloaded AVG and it found a Win32/Tufik virus! Thanks BD. I then managed to stop a few norton progs from start up an the login issues seems to be ok can't get into msn but that's ot the end of the world. All my updates are working once again so it's almost sorted

Thanks for the advice :tazz:
