Is there any free software I can download to find and fix bugs on my PC? I downloaded PC Doctor, but that's rather misleading because the scan is free BUT you have to purchase the key to unlock it to actually fix the bugs. I've downloaded and ran AdAware and SpyBot, but according to PC Doctor there's 91 possible problems and I don't know how to fix anything.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

Please reboot into safe mode - How do I boot into "Safe" mode?.
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):
D:\Setup.exe

Please delete your temporary files by deleting all files and folders that are in those folders (do not delete the temp folder itself) like for example
C:\WINDOWS\Temp\
C:\Temp\
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\
Also delete your Temporary Internet Files, be sure to also select delete all offline content.

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, and let us know how your system's working.

I can't believe I'm so confused. OK.....I got so far as "View hidden files", and did the unchecking and selecting. Where do I look for the hidden files? I did a file and folder search for D:\Setup.exe, which searched my CD-ROM, and of course there was nothing there.

Then I tried to delete temporary files, but wasn't sure how to do that either. I clicked on the links and printed them off, but it just confused me more. I did delete temerory internet files.

I did discover something that I was hoping you could explain to me. Under C:|WINNT, I found 22 folders,all with similar titles as this: $NtUninstallKB329115$. Are they supposed to be there?

I'm sorry I did so miserably at this. I can usually follow instructions fairly well, but they have to be detailed and specific. I don't know what to do, now.
