My computer's CD-ROM drives (both of them) cannot be read. It's a window 98 computer and I can't use windowsupdate.com because it does not recognize my computer as windows. What can I do to fix this?

Whn you say cannot be read, do you mean as in programs cannot read discs from them, or that they are not even present in My Computer or device manager?
