I have 2, 40 GB hard Disks on my computer................
I have 8 hard drives............out of which one is H:\

the H:\ is not workin.........wen i try to access it , windows shows to Format H:\.........but when i try to format it.............it says H:\ cant be formatted.

IS there any way to fix this problem , or any way to recover my files.
I need the files as they are my programming files..........

All of my other hard drives are working

Hi and welcome go Geeks to Go. What brand is hard drive? I think a good place to start would be to run the hard drive manufacturers diagnostic program. Not knowing which one, I provided a link to another forum, storage sticky at the top of it that has links to most hard drive diagnostics.
