Launch Notepad, and copy/paste the box below into a new text file. Save it as fixme.reg (make sure that Save as Type is set at "All Files") on your Desktop. Ensure there is no space at above REGEDIT 4.

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\PROTOCOLS\Filter\]
text/html\CLSID=-
{CLSID}\InProcServer32\(Default)=-
text/plain\CLSID=-
{CLSID}\InProcServer32\(Default)=-

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\]
{CLSID}\InProcServer32\(Default)=-

Locate fixme.reg on your Desktop and double-click on it. You will receive a prompt similar to: "Do you wish to merge the information into the registry?". Answer "Yes" and wait for a message to appear similar to "Merged Successfully".

Open HiJackthis and do a scan. Please check off the following entries:

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe
O18 - Filter: text/html - {05D405D8-72B4-4B2B-AE91-33E9314F5D36} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\bmjpida.dll
O18 - Filter: text/plain - {05D405D8-72B4-4B2B-AE91-33E9314F5D36} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\bmjpida.dll

Click FIX CHECKED then close HJT and reboot. Post a fresh HiJackthis and a fresh Silent runners log.

Thanks,

:tazz:

Ok I merged it and then when I did the hijackthis log, I saw the first one you said
F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe
but the closest thing to the other two were these two.
O18 - Filter: text/html - {587AB33C-0594-470C-872B-D2179D8D0FF9} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ecaae.dll
O18 - Filter: text/plain - {587AB33C-0594-470C-872B-D2179D8D0FF9} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ecaae.dll
It is ecaase instead of bmjpida, so I checked those two.

Here is the fresh Hijackthis log and the Silent Runner log.

I notice that you still have all those poker programs on your computer that I had slated for removal. Did you not want to remove them?

DOWNLOAD PROGRAMS

Launch Notepad, and copy/paste the box below into a new text file. Save it as fixme2.reg (make sure that Save as Type is set at "All Files") on your Desktop. Ensure there is no space at above REGEDIT 4.

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\]
"sp"=-

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\]
{CLSID}\InProcServer32\(Default)=-

we will use this later

Download about:buster by RubbeRDuckY Here.
Download CWShredder Here.
Download SpSeHjfix Here.
Download and install CleanUp! Here

Save programs to your desktop for easy access, Please do not run any of the programs unless told to do so.

Unzip SpSeHjfix to its own folder (ie c:\SpSeHjfix)

Run the CleanUp! installer. You dont need to do anything with it right now.

Update About:Buster
  • Unzip the contents of AboutBuster.zip and an AboutBuster directory will be created.
  • Navigate to the AboutBuster directory and double-click on AboutBuster.exe.
  • Click "OK" at the prompt with instructions.
  • Click "Update" and then "Check For Update" to begin the update process.
  • If any updates exist please download them by clicking "Download Update" then click the X to close that window.
  • Now close About:Buster
Update CWShredder
  • Open CWShredder and click I AGREE
  • Click Check For Update
  • Close CWShredder

THE FIX

Please read this post completely, it may make it easier for you if you copy and paste this post to a new text document or print it for reference later.

1. Click this link to be sure you can view hidden files.

2. Ensure you are NOT connected to the internet.

3. Reboot into safe mode.

Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

4. Now run CWShredder. Click I Agree, then Fix and then Next, let it fix everything it asks about.

5. Locate fixme2.reg on your Desktop and double-click on it. You will receive a prompt similar to: "Do you wish to merge the information into the registry?". Answer "Yes" and wait for a message to appear similar to "Merged Successfully".

6. Close all browsers, windows and unneeded programs.

7. Open HiJack and do a scan.

8. Put a Check next to the following items:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = res://C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\se.dll/sp.html
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = about:blank

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [sp] rundll32 C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\se.dll,DllInstall

9. click the Fix Checked box

10. Please run about:buster by RubbeRDuckY:
  • Click Begin Removal.
  • It will begin to check your computer for malicious files.
  • AboutBuster will finish and open a new page. Follow the instructions for protection on that page.
  • Shut down AboutBuster. A log should have been created. Please Save this log and copy it in your next post.
11. Now run SpSeHjfix. A log will be saved in the same folder that you put the exe into. Please post the results of that log in your next reply.

12. Run the program CleanUp!

13. Reboot into normal mode and please run this online virus scan: ActiveScan - Save the results from the scan!

14. Please post an Active scan log and a fresh HiJackThis log. Let me know how your computer is running.

Yes I have left some of the poker programs, the ones that I have money in, but I would delete them like you said, but I would have to eventually reinstall them so what is the point? Although I do think they are the source of most of the popups because the popups are usually about casinos. Like I said in the other post, I tried doing the active scan log but I'm not sure it scanned, I don't think so since I didn't get a log, so you'll have to give me directions for that one. I tried to do the active scan again, but since it won't support firefox, I tried to open up IE but IE would not even open, it opened before I did all this stuff, so something went wrong.
In the Hijackthis log, I did not see any of the ones you mentioned. This is the hijack this log, the ones with **** are the ones I checked, though none of them were what you said were there, I thought these were similiar enough.

So the problems now are popups and IE not opening I guess, we did get rid of the Aurora popups though. Also during Cleanup! I noticed it deleted the quarantine info of the ewido security suite, just wondering if it is supposed to do that.

Um will that mean I will have to format my computer and stuff? And I probably don't, what does it look like, is it a disk or a cd?

No you don't have to reformat, but it looks like you may have to repair your IE.
It should be a windows CD that you used to install windows on your computer.

I am at this page, this is the same thing that happened before when you told me to do a Active Scan, and I said I wasn't sure if it actually scanned.

Select a device to scan...
My Computer
Local Disks
Floppy Disk
My Documents
Email
Other Media
Detected Disinfected
Virus 0 0
Spyware 0 0
Hacking Tools 0 0
Dialers 0 0
Security Risks 0 0
Suspicious files 0 0

It wants me to select a device, but it says it didn't detect anything, but you said there should be a log, I'm confused.

It takes up to 2 hours to complete the scan. You should choose My computer to scan.

hope that helps.

I don't like that site, I left it on for an hour and a half, and when it scans isn't that thing supposed to show how much it's like with the green bar? I did not see the green bar so I guess it didn't even do 1%. Yeah so it was on for an hour and a half and then it just randomly closed, it did this once before too.
