Every few minutes my optical mouse will jump to a random corner of the screen.
Unlike a similar posting it is not clicking or wandering. It just jumps and sits.
Running AVG free edition and Spybot.
Have uninstalled the mouse and manually deleted the files and registry entries before reinstalling, without any luck.
Will eventually reformat the hard drive. Any suggestions before that would be appreciated. :tazz:

This is an Olympic Office Mouse.
It has a USB cable, but I am using an adapter to the PS2 port.

If this is a wireless optical mouse, it could be Rf interference.

Update
I have tried different mouse mats and found that the problem stops with one particular mat, but normal mouse response is very slow with this mat. :tazz:
