You must follow all of my instructions exactly as given.

First, you need to clear out Java viruses.

1. Click Start > Control Panel.

2. Double-click the Java icon (coffee cup) in the control panel. It will say "Java Plug-in" - when you double-click it the Java Control Panel will open up. Please click the Update tab. Update your java, then reboot and follow the rest of the instructions (you will not have the below options if you do not update - it needs to be done).

*After reboot, go back into the Control Panel and double-click the "Java" icon.

3. Under Temporary Internet Files, click the Delete Files button.

There are three options on this window to clear the cache - leave ALL 3 checked.
1. Downloaded Applets
2. Downloaded Applications
3. Other Files

4. Click OK on Delete Temporary Files window.
Note: This deletes ALL the Downloaded Applications and Applets from the CACHE.

5. Click OK to leave the Java Control Panel.

Please do not dowload things unless specifically asked.

You just wasted a lot of your time. Now, please download the correct one from here:

http://java.sun.com/....0/download.jsp

Click on the third download:
The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications

On the next page, click the one under "Windows Online Installation, Multi-language".

The old one had an update button (some of them have a tab, apparently yours did not, but I assure you there was a button) But, at this point, it doesn't matter since you have the new version :tazz:

1. Double-click the Java icon (coffee cup) in the control panel.

2. Under Temporary Internet Files, click the Delete Files button.

There are three options on this window to clear the cache - leave ALL 3 checked.
1. Downloaded Applets
2. Downloaded Applications
3. Other Files

3. Click OK on Delete Temporary Files window.
Note: This deletes ALL the Downloaded Applications and Applets from the CACHE.

4. Click OK to leave the Java Control Panel.
