There's a few things happening and I don't know if they're related or not! Firstly the computer is really slow to boot up. When I'm on the internet I can't access most web pages (even if they're safe). It says the page cannot be found and then a window pops up saying ActiveX reports that there is no security and asks if I want to proceed. When I click yes the web page is just a blank white screen. I've tried deleting an ActiveX folder from my computer (it's stored within Adobe Acrobat folder) but it says I am unable to delete it.
The computer also doesn't recognise either the CD-ROM or CD-RW drives. They are not detected in My Computer or Printers and Other Hardware. I've tried Norton <a href="http://www.ntsearch....>Anti-virus scans and Sbybot-Search and Destroy and they say there's no problem!

Here's a hijackthis report if it helps: (Eh by the way: Why the [bleep] is it showing up NastySex?! I searched my computer and can't find the program!)

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.
Apply the update, reboot, and post a fresh Hijack This log.

Some hijacks interfere with the installation of Service Pack 2, so we'll hold of for now. When we're finished cleaning your computer we highly recommend installing SP2. Click here: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/.
-or-
It's a very large download, so if you're on dial-up, order a free CD here:
http://www.microsoft...default810.mspx

You do have some parasites on your system. When you're done updating, post a fresh log and we'll get after it. <_<
