Hi

I am having problems with my XP system. All the icons on the desktop have changed to .lnk names. I can't seem to execute anything except by going to Run and selct programs from a list. Windows is not recognizing much if anything.

Some one please help

Hello there. I believe this is a Malware-related problem. We have seen this happen many times. Please go HERE and follow "Step 5: Posting a HijackThis Log". Once you have posted your HJT log in the Malware Removal forum, someone will be able to help you get fixed back up! :tazz:
