First thing we need to know is this pc running XP, 98, 2000, ME?
http://www.modem-dri...mpanies/796.htm
Check this page and see which one might be yours. You might have installed the windows xp modem for 98, or Vice Versa. When installing a driver you need to install it for the correct operating system. Also it looks like there are alot of different drivers for this modem, go into "Control Panel", click "System", then click Hardware or Device Manager and find your modem on the list and write down exactly what type it is.

I actually pulled the cover off to make sure I had the right model number and downloaded the driver for Win98. Now that I am not having a problem with that anymore(don't know what changed, but somehow it's working right now)I cannot get into Walmart Connect. When I try to open the program I get the message WM caused an invalid page fault in module Kernel32.dll at 017f:bff7a388. What the crap is that? <_< I tried restarting the computer and when I still couldn't get into the program decided to uninstall and reinstall. Can you guess what happened? Yep, same old message. Sigh. Any ideas?

I cannot seem to find a driver for her video card. When I go to device manager it is listed as an ATI Rage/Rage II PCI (ati_m64). Does anyone know where I can find this driver??

Thanks for the link!! Have you got any ideas on the Kernel32.dll error I get whenever I open Walmart Connect? I'm desperate! I have no clue what else to try. I have run Adaware, Spybot, Avast, cleaned thousands of spyware droppings and one virus and still cannot open the program.

Have you got any ideas on the Kernel32.dll error I get whenever I open Walmart Connect?

I suspect the problem is with Walmart Conenct. Have you tried uninstalling it, deleting the folder, and then reinstalling it?

Not only did I unintall it and delete the folder, I also ran Norton Systemworks and had the references to it in the registry removed. I don't know what else of it I could delete. Any tips on how to find pieces of it that aren't obvious? Should I go in the registry editor myself and see if any references to it are left? Or are there other places I should be looking? I think you are exactly right about it being the software because I keep getting a message as it starts to load telling me the file with the numbers has been lost or something like that, and it is still there after multiple uninstalls and reinstalls. As soon as I click ok to go to setup and reset the locations and numbers, that is when the Kernel message pops up.

Very interesting. Do you have the latest version of WMConnect?

WMConnect is actually a stripped down version of AOL. I'll look around and see if I can find some more info.

I picked the disk up for it from Walmart last night since my aunt didn't bring one with her puter. So as far as I know it should be the latest version.

Have we seen a Hijack This log for this computer? Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.
