Trojfile

While looking for somthing else, I came across this.

(Should this be there )?? I myself dont think so .

I Just found it in

HKey_Classes_Root

In right pane it says

Name----------------Type---------------- Data
==================================================
(Default)----------REG_SZ---------Trojan Infested File

Start/run regedit, navigate to that key (it's period - tc3). Click on it,
then on file/export and save a copy to the desktop. Then delete the key. See if it effects anything for few days/weeks. If not, then delete the copy. If it cases problems, remerge the file by double-clicking it.


I suspect that your antivirus/antitrojan program inserted that extension as a way to mark suspected trojans for later removal. What that is telling you is that files ending in .troj are trojan files

Hi gerryf, Cranky here.

I Exported and copied 2 of them to desktop then deleted both from reg.
Will let you know if I have any trouble with them being deleted. I will leave on
desktop for a couple of weeks or till I have trouble with them.
