Optimizing my DSL

i am loking for ways to otimize my DSL, it is 1.5mb/s downstreem, 386kb/s upstream, it is SBC Yahoo! DSL, i use Win XP, and i use a 2Wire DSL modem (the SBC home portal)

i don't seehow that was soposed ot help me, it had some stuff for me to pay for, i mean free stuff, like windows tweaking and such, i didn't see details there
