My windows 98 computer has been freezing only when using internet. This has been going on for over a month now. If I don't use Internet Explorer, I have no problems. My other programs work fine. I have a cable connection.

Sometimes I can surf the net for awhile before it locks up. Sometimes it locks up on the first site. It usually locks up immediately after a click. It does not always lock up on the same sites, always different ones.

Sometimes I get a blue screen with assorted VXD error messages, sometimes the computer just spontaneously reboots! Sometimes it looks fine, but the mouse has disappeared and not even Control,Alt Delete works. Sometimes I get a black screen, sometimes I get stripes.

I had Norton Internet Security 2004. I also had Ad-aware and Spybot S & D. I ran scans with everything. Nothing turned up. I did the on-line scan with Panda. Then I completely uninstalled Norton, and installed PC-cillin Internet Security 2005. Still nothing found. I did the Clean-up and other procedures advised on this site before posting here. Still having same troubles.

Here is my HiJackThis Logfile:

I know it's been 2 weeks, but I am still checking daily for help. I tried using Firefox, but it does the same thing. I tried disabling my sound card, that didn't work. I think pop-ups might be causing the freezing. I tried uninstalling my google toolbar, but that didn't help so I reinstalled it. Thanks.
