I have two computers running xp pro connected to a SMC router which is connected to the cable modem.
Initially everything shared fine on the network, then I rebuilt one computer. Once this happened creating and connecting the two computers as a network often freezes or doesn't recognise.
Printer is connected to computer 1
Whenever I try to print from computer two off the internet the running program(AOL, NETSCAPE, EXPLORER) will freeze and crash. The screen to select the print amounts never appears. I can print from word, but not straight from the internet. Any help? Also once I had to create a sign-on with the 1 computer to get the #2 computer to be allowed access to file/printer share. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On computer one, right click the printer, choose SHARING, choose SECURITY tab...what users have access to printer?
