My name is Tom and I will be helping you with your log. I have reviewed your log and there are some things we need to take care of. Also I need you to print a copy of this post so you can use it later in the fix.

[*]HijackThis is being run from a temporary folder; this means that any backups it creates as a result of fixes made with it will be lost. Please create a new folder for it and place the program into that new folder.

Please Download CoolWebShredder, from http://www.geekstogo...=download&id=17 , Extract it & run the program. Click the Next Button & let it scan. Make sure you let it fix all CWS Remnants.

[*]Please set your system to show
all files; please see here if you're unsure how to do this.

[*]Press Control-Alt-Del to enter the Task Manager.

Click on the Processes tab and end the following processes:

C:\Program Files\Media Gateway\MediaGateway.exe
Exit the Task Manager when finished.

[*]Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = file://C:\WINDOWS\System32\Searchx.htm
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Media Gateway] C:\Program Files\Media Gateway\MediaGateway.exe

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

You will need to uninstall some programs please go to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and remove the following programs if they are not there do not worry about it at this time.

[*]Reboot into Safe Mode: please see here if you are not sure how to do this.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them if found:

C:\Program Files\Media Gateway\MediaGateway.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\Searchx.htm

Exit Explorer, and reboot as normal afterwards.

Please reboot and post back a fresh HijackThis log and we will take another look. Also please let me know how your system is running.
