Hi Shamedl, welcome to the Geeks to Go Forums.

My name is Trevuren and I will be helping you with your problem. Yoou have numerous infections one of which I need to rid your system of immediately. It has hijacked your DNS server.

1. Please run HJT, click Scan and put a checkmark beside the following items:

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{0EFFB700-CEC5-4E5B-AD2B-AC0A315AFBC2}: NameServer = 69.50.176.196,195.225.176.110
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{84D53742-050C-4050-BE6F-4A4E6C36505D}: NameServer = 69.50.176.196,195.225.176.110
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{8C3ACC27-0201-4137-94C0-A0BBE9D68331}: NameServer = 69.50.176.196,195.225.176.110
O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\..\{0EFFB700-CEC5-4E5B-AD2B-AC0A315AFBC2}: NameServer = 69.50.176.196,195.225.176.110
O17 - HKLM\System\CS2\Services\Tcpip\..\{0EFFB700-CEC5-4E5B-AD2B-AC0A315AFBC2}: NameServer = 69.50.176.196,195.225.176.110

After all the above items have been selected, with all windows closed other than HJT, click Fix checked and EXIT the program

2. REBOOT your system

3. Finally, run HijackThis, click SCAN, produce a LOG and POST it in this thread for review.

We must stop, disable and delete an added service (023)

1. To stop a service and set to 'disabled'

Go to Start > Run and type in Services.msc then click OK

Click the Extended tab.

Scroll down until you find the service.

Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe

Click once on the service to highlight it.

Click Stop

Right-Click on the service.

Click on 'Properties'

Select the 'General' tab

Click the Arrow-down tab on the right-hand side on the 'Start-up Type' box

From the drop-down menu, click on 'Disabled'

Click the 'Apply' tab, then click 'OK'

The service is now stopped and disabled.

2. We will now delete the service:

1. Open HJT
2. Click on Config>>Misc Tools>>Delete an NT Service
3. Type SvcProc in the space provided and click OK
4. The program will ask you to REBOOT --- Accept

5. REBOOT into SAFE MODE

6. Using Windows Explorer, locate and DELETE the following file (if it still is present):

C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe

7. REBOOT back into Normal Mode

8. Finally, run HijackThis, click SCAN, produce a LOG and POST it in this thread for review. Try your system for a bit and, in your post, please comment regarding any malware-related problems that you may still be encountering.

Regards,

Trevuren

Hey thanks again for the response. I did as you asked however I had to disable the Service from the MSCONFIG > Services tab. When I ran Services.msc nothing showed up in the extended tab.

I was able to Stop the NT service and delete Svcproc.exe in safemode.

Here is the HJT log now.

It is looking good. We still have to deal with the Narrator infection.

Let's try the easy way first:(50/50)

Please follow the instructions provided, you may want to print out these instructions and use them as a reference.
  • Please download ewido security suite it is a trial version of the program.
    • Install ewido security suite
    • When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
    • Launch ewido, there should be an icon on your desktop double-click it.
    • The program will prompt you to update click the OK button
    • The program will now go to the main screen
You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.
    • On the left hand side of the main screen click update
    • Click on Start
    • The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
  • Once the updates are installed do the following:
    • REBOOT into Safe Mode
    • Run EWIDO
    • Click on scanner
    • Make sure the following boxes are checked before scanning:
      • Binder
      • Crypter
      • Archives
    • Click on Start Scan
    • Let the program scan the machine
    • While the scan is in progress you will be prompted to clean files, click OK
  • Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
    • Click Save report
    • Save the report to your desktop
  • Reboot your machine and post back a new HJT log and the ewido .txt log file you saved by using Add Reply

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order in which they are mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.

Download Killbox here: http://www.downloads...org/KillBox.exe and put it on your desktop

Open Killbox

Check the following boxes:

Standard File Kill
End Explorer Shell While Killing file

Copy & paste the full path of the file below into the Killbox topmost box.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\hraauk.exe

With the full path to the file name in the topmost textbox, Click the Red X ...and for the confirmation message that will appear, you will need to click Yes

It may not delete.

If it doesn't, use killbox to delete the file as follows:

Open Killbox

Check the following boxes:

Delete on Reboot

With the full path to the file name in the topmost textbox. Click the Red X ...and for the confirmation message that will appear, you will need to click Yes

A second message will ask to Reboot now? you will need to click yes

Note: Killbox will let you know if the file does not exist.

After the reboot scan with hijackthis and fix the following if they are still listed

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KavSvc] C:\WINDOWS\System32\hraauk.exe reg_run

NOTE:This procedure may have to be repested 4-5 times to achieve the anticipated result. They are often hard to kill.

Reboot and Post a new hijackthis log.

Regards,

Trevuren

Ok after using Kill box several times using the rebooting method. I went ahead and ran EWIDO again. Then ran Kill box. I think it finally got rid of HRAAUK.EXE
Whats next? :tazz:

It is still in your log. I need now to find out if there are any traces left in your system. So here we go with annother scan. Please follow the instructions to the letter.
  • Download Find-IT 2000/XP to your desktop.
  • Unzip/extract the files inside preferable to C:\ < a new folder.
  • Disconnect from the internet, if you use an always on internet connection unplug it.
  • Let your PC be idle for 15 minutes !!
  • Open the folder and run the FindIt's.bat and wait for a text to open, it will take awhile be patient, post the results please.
Notes:

1. If you get an error similar to: autoexec.nt the system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. choose close to terminate the application...etc etc' or a 16 bit application error.

2. Go here and use the appropriate fix for your system
