I have windows XP on my works computer, i need some help on the following: -

1. I was getting loads of aurora pop ups so i followed your instructions from another post and they have gone. I installed Ewido and have now uninstalled it. I have Mcafee Virus Scan already on my computer and now when get an alert it says moved instead of deleted, where have they moved to and can i make Mcafee Virus Scan delete them again as there is no other program installed on my computer?

2. After running the scans to get rid of aurora pop ups every time i turn my computer on it comes up with a message saying "windows.nail.exe not found go to start search and type in correctly" or similar. Why is it saying this.

3. Everytime i turn on my computer it runs CHKDSK (check disk) a blue screen saying deleting and recovery files, why does it do this? When i go to defragment my computer it wont let me because it says CHKDSK is scheduled to run or similar. Can i get rid of this or is it ok?

Any help would be much appreciated Katie

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
