I hope I'm doing this correctly. Here's my problem all of a sudden I noticed that I didn't have Task Manager, it's there but it's grayed out. I ran spybot and pest patrol about three times each. Finally I think the pop-ups have stopped, at least for the time being. However I still don't have task manager and I can't change my desktop. The setting to change the desktop are also inoperable. If I press control/Alt/Delete, task manager is still grayed out. Please help. Thanks.

If you're still having trouble, We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool, Hijack This. Follow the instructions in step five of this guide, and reply here with your log.

Most of what Hijack This lists lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.
