I just installed microsoft works suite 2005 and my encarta, picture it, and any help page for any program for my computer will not work because i keep getting a script error message. I tried your technicque for fixing internet explorer that you had pinned to the top of this topic forum, but that did nothing for me. To give you an idea of what i am dealing with this is the script error i keep finding in my encarta everytime i bring it up.

Internet Explorer Script Error
Line 1
Char 1
Error unspecified error
Code 0
URL msencxml://homescreen/mainhome_eestd?sxl=mainhome.xsl&dhsparams=4&xslparam=VBLang$A&xslparam=SKU&E05ASTRC
Keep Running Script Error
Yes/NO

An adittional problem i have on top of this (not sure if it stems from the same problem) is that my browser seems to act like it is hijacked. I can be happily surfing along when all of a sudden i click on a link and what do you know but instead of what I was expecting :help: I find I have been redirected to a random pornography site. Now I have run my Microsoft Anti-Spyware (Beta) and my norton Antivirus, both come up clean. So what is my Browsers problem and on top of that, it seems only to bother my logon to XP not my husbands.

I am not very computer litterate so everytime I go onto the microsoft web page to figure out how to fix my problem I keep running into a bunch of computer mumbo jumbo that I just really dont honestly understand. So in answering this question could you please try to make it as dummy proof as possible.

:help: ;) :yeah:

This is about what i am looking like right now :yeah:

:tazz: ;) :help:

Thank you very much.

Welcome to Geeks to Go, my name is phybyr0ptyk and I will be helping you today. Sounds like we have some bad things happening here. I will need you to Please Click here!, and follow the recommendations in the guide.

If you're still having trouble, We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool, Hijack This. Follow the instructions in step five of this guide, and post your log as a new topic in the Hijack This forum. It will get a better response there from the people most qualified to analyze logs.

Most of what Hijack This lists lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.
