wasnt exactly shure where to post this

I was given a 150.00 gift card to bestbuy for my birthday.. and I was wondering your suggestions what you think the best DVD burner I chould buy there >For under 150.00 would be

are you looking for an internal or external? i would recommend this internal HP.

HP DVD Burner

i don't see any external drives for < 150. but the external HP is 160

strickly internal I'm not a big fan of external devices and my powersupply can handle it and I have a full tower case >for the air circulation< and the only other device I would have in it is a straight planjane dvd-rom

i just got a LG4193 i think thats the right model number and it is absolutely fabulous no trouble at all. havent tried burning yet but it was the easiest component to install and use ive used in a while and the bundled software isnt bad either for an OEM drive.

I have a el cheapo Lite-on 16x single layer.


BUT with DVD X-copy I can burn a 2 hour movie in about 13 minutes :tazz:

that's why i suggested the HP's since best buy is limited in their selection. u can pick up a reliable burner for under 100 elsewhere. i got a LITE-ON for $50 from newegg.

I most likely will be going with the HP thats what I was thinking when I saw there selection and as a bonus I get the lightscribe tech with it
