Hi,

I want you to reinstall SP2.

Open Add or Remove Programs (click on Start ---> Settings ---> Control panel. This should be the 3rd item). Uninstall or remove the following items -

Windows XP Service Pack 2

Visit this site - Windows security and critical updates .

Install all the updates.

Reboot the PC.

Let me know how your PC is behaving !!!!!

Hi,

Chances are that you used Firefox for updating to SP2. Microsoft refuses to let any browser other than IE to get the updates. So please use IE for getting the updates

Hi,

So you were able to install SP2 ???

In case you were not able to install SP2, then go back to that page. The page provides information on how to order a free copy of the SP2 on a CD. Please do so.

Post back a fresh HJT log and let me know if the graphics card / driver issue has been resolved !!!!
