Hi,

Two main problems on my pc...the first is that when I try to click on IE for it to open it no longer opens up, I get an error message, 2nd is, I cant use my start menu...if I go to the start menu and try to select anything I get the same error message....I am able to use certain programs so long as they are on my desktop, but if they are on the start menu I cant open them from there or access any of my folders? Any idea of whats going on?

I already tried running a microsoft windows update, ran my virus check, ran adaware and antispyware, and it still wont work? I'm on XP btw, thanks

Hey Naught33!

Welcome to G2G and thanks for posting on the forums!

It looks like you may have malware on your system which need to be removed. I recommend that you please download Hijack This, a free program and state your problem in the MALWARE forum.

You will get assistance there by people who are qualified to read HJT logs and they may be able to help you should you have any infection.

Thanks for posting and good luck!

Remember to continue this post in the MALWARE forum, so that the experts there can analyze your HJT logfile should something be wrong. You are welcome to fill me in on what they said though! :tazz:

Thanks for posting!

Werner ;)
