how do i overwrite shell32.dll?
ive tryed overwriting in safemode with command prompt but the file is in use and icant overwrite in dos because my hdd is formatted to ntfs

why do you want to? It's a protected file for a reason in that it is one of the more important files on your pc...

im doing an osx emu and i need to overwrite shell32.dll with a new version with osx images

So, you hacked a dll file and want to replace it?

Son, you are asking for trouble.....

Are you just blindly doing this or do you have some instructions you are following. I ask because my first credo is to do no harm....and you are dancing in some dangerous territory.

There are better and easier ways to do Mac makeovers.
