Whenever I run the latest version of Ad-Aware SE personal 1.06r1 with the latest definition file it finds a critical item listed as Dialer. I click the button to remove it but even after it says it removes it if I run another scan it finds it again. I am running Windows ME and have even disabled System Restore to see if that helps but it still is there. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I tried several things to remove the dialer. I did a registry restore back to when I knew nothing was being reported by ad-aware. I thing that caused more of a problem. Now when I run an ad-aware scan it now reports 2 critical objects. Following is a listing of the latest ad-aware scan. It appears as the dialer is identified as "wildflics". I tried some Google searches for removal but could not find anything. Does anyone have any ideas how to remove these dialers?

I read an interesting post on another forum concerning an Ad-Aware ;) problem. It appears that the definition file that I had (07-07-2005, internal build 61) was giving "false/positives". A second definition file (07-07-2005, internal build 62) was now available which should correct this situation. I ran another Ad-Aware scan with the first definition file and it gave me the critical error that prompted this post. I did not instruct Ad-Aware to remove the problem. I then obtained the corrected definition file and ran a scan and it showed "0" :tazz: critical items. Therefore I am now assuming that my problem is corrected because of this issue. I also previously did a scan via PC Housecall that did not identify any problems so that is what prompted me to look for a possible Ad-Aware problem. This post can be closed/resolved.
