Not really you can build a so much better comp with that money, and the own brand alienware stuff is good but its not the best. Its probably about double what you would spend to build that pc.

Last time I checked Alienware doesnt make sound cards or Video cards..first on that is EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. No matter where you get you computer, any company or brand. You are not getting a good value. ALL Companies seek profit, if you buy a computer, in this case, if you built that, you would be saving at least $1000 I Guarantee that. If the company sold it lower or the same price at what you could do if you built it, the company would lose/get no/or barley profit. Building is the way to go.

Way overpriced.. I'm not a fan of Alienware at all and that's the reason. So-called quality at skyhigh prices.

As everyones said...if you feel more comfortable, you can buy better products then alienware sells you- remember you have to pay for the name and keeping that company in business....they deliver a good product just very pricy- plus you get the self satisfaction of building it yourself! :tazz:

Lmfao, that is ridiculous and not meaning that its sick. That is way too much money for that machine. Alienware is not a hardcore machine. *Repeat* Alienware is not the best! You pay for the name over anything. You can build that with comparable parts for around $4000-$5000 with a high quality liquid cooling system.

I say, You can build yourself a custom pc for half the price of an alienware comparable pc and in the long run it might even be faster.

That pc's price is just overboard....

Well alienwares do offer bleeding edge, they are the best you can buy in the US from what ive read, but there is a couple of UK companies that make em better and cheaper with individually engineered systems and customised cases. But nobody needs that bleeding edge performance you would hardly ever have cause to use it unless you do that genome analysing thing.
