Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order in which they are mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.

Download Killbox here: http://www.downloads...org/KillBox.exe and put it on your desktop

Open Killbox

Check the following boxes:

Standard File Kill
End Explorer Shell While Killing file

Copy & paste the full path of each of the files below into the Killbox topmost box.

C:\Program Files\WareOut
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dressTurkey.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\mbucxmo.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntfsnlpa.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\rdsndin.exe
C:\WINDOWS\gbcsvgmpjtl.exe
C:\WINDOWS\polmx.exe
C:\WINDOWS\polmx3.exe
C:\WINDOWS\poltt.exe
C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe
C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe

With the full path to the file name in the topmost textbox, Click the Red X ...and for the confirmation message that will appear, you will need to click Yes

Do this for each of the files listed. Some will not be deleted. Make sure you keep a list of them.

When you are through the list, use killbox to delete the files you were not able to delete as follows:

Open Killbox

Check the following boxes:

Delete on Reboot

With the full path to the file name in the topmost textbox. Click the Red X ...and for the confirmation message that will appear, you will need to click Yes

A second message will ask to Reboot now? you will need to click No (since you are not finished adding all related files in yet)

Click yes on the last file.

Note: Killbox will let you know if the file does not exist.

After the reboot scan with hijackthis and fix the following if they are still listed

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WareOut] "C:\Program Files\WareOut\WareOut.exe

Reboot and Post a new hijackthis log and a new Qoologic log

Is there a better way than this? I just seem to be getting no where! And just now my computer kept freezing at the log in Window after rebooting from the KillBox. I think if there is a decent program that will just do I'll this I'll finally give in and invest.

I sense your impatience. It is understandable. Unfortunately, this is the only way known to man. We just got rid of a huge amount of bad stuff that no program, so far, is able to destroy. All your communications were being re-routed through Kiev.
======================================
  • We want to stop, disable and delete an added service (023)

To stop a service and set to 'disabled'
    • Go to Start > Run and type in Services.msc then click OK
    • Click the Extended tab.
    • Scroll down until you find the service.
      ===>Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc)
    • Click once on the service to highlight it.
    • Click Stop
    • Right-Click on the service.
    • Click on 'Properties'
    • Select the 'General' tab
    • Click the Arrow-down tab on the right-hand side on the 'Start-up Type' box
    • From the drop-down menu, click on 'Disabled'
    • Click the 'Apply' tab, then click 'OK'
The service is now stopped and disabled.

  • Now, please download NailFix from HERE to your Desktop.
    • This is a self-extracting file. Click on Nailfix.exe
    • Click on INSTALL and choose your Desktop as the destination
    • It creates a Folder called Nailfix in which is the program you will need later.
    • DO NOT USE IT YET
  • Make sure EWIDO is updated to its latest definitions

  • REBOOT into Safe Mode

  • Once in Safe Mode, open your NailFix folder and double-click on Nailfix.cmd. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

  • Then please run Ewido, and run a full scan. Save the logfile from the scan. DO NOT MULTITASK WHEN EWIDO IS RUNNING.. That is do not open any folder, browser, or even the Control Panel

  • Next run HijackThis, click Scan, and put a check mark beside:

    F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe D:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe
O23 - Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc) - Unknown owner - D:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe (file missing)

  • Once all items have been marked, close all open windows, click Fix checked and EXIT HJT.

  • REBOOT into Normal Mode

  • Finally, run HijackThis, click SCAN, produce a LOG and POST it in this thread for review.

Trevuren

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order in which they are mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.

First we need to make all files and folders VISIBLE:

Go to start>control panel>folder options>view (tab)
*choose to "show hidden files and folders,"
*uncheck the "hide protected operating system files" and the "hide extensions for know file types" boxes.
*Close the window with ok
*All hidden files will now be visible

Please RUN HijackThis.
. Click the SCAN button to produce a log.

Place a check mark beside each one of the following items:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {1BCEF0C0-CD6B-812B-6C16-9CF5CA3BD38E} - control64.dll (file missing)
O2 - BHO: AuroraHandlerObj Class - {4AA870AC-8427-42a4-B92E-ECD956197489} - C:\WINDOWS\AuroraHandler.dll (file missing)
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {08BEC6AA-49FC-4379-3587-4B21E286C19E} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dmczy.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmczy.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [zxc] PrcIdle.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [barint] LOPTCON.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [hclean32.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\hclean32.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [madjae] c:\windows\system32\servpu.exe r
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ssweeper] mozilla-text.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [SysEntry] new32.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [FLKPT] iehelper.exe
O12 - Plugin for τε: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\PLUGINS\npqtplugin4.dll

Now with all the items selected, and all windows closed except for HJT, delete them by clicking the FIX checked button. Close the HijackThis window and Reboot Your System in Safe Mode

How to use the F8 method to Start Your Computer in Safe Mode

*Restart the computer.
*as soon as BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until the Advanced Options menu appears.
*Use the arrow keys to select the Safe mode menu item
*press Enter.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and DELETE them (if they are present):

C:\WINDOWS\AuroraHandler.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmczy.exe
PrcIdle.exe<=== Search for this one
LOPTCON.exe<===Search for this one
C:\WINDOWS\System32\hclean32.exe
c:\windows\system32\servpu.exe
mozilla-text.exe<===Search for this one
new32.exe<===Search for this one
iehelper.exe<===Search for this one
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\PLUGINS\npqtplugin4.dll

Exit Explorer, and REBOOT BACK INTO NORMAL MODE

Finally, RUN Hijackthis again and produce a new HJT log. Post it in the forum so we can check how everytjhing looks now.

Trevuren

Most files I was suppose to delete in safemode weren't there... actually only the npqtplugin was.

First we need to make all files and folders VISIBLE:

Go to start>control panel>folder options>view (tab)
*choose to "show hidden files and folders,"
*uncheck the "hide protected operating system files" and the "hide extensions for know file types" boxes.
*Close the window with ok
*All hidden files will now be visible

Please RUN HijackThis.
. Click the SCAN button to produce a log.

Place a check mark beside each one of the following item:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [vchgiea] c:\windows\system32\xyecref.exe r

Now with all the items selected, and all windows closed except for HJT, delete them by clicking the FIX checked button. Close the HijackThis window and Reboot Your System in Safe Mode

How to use the F8 method to Start Your Computer in Safe Mode

*Restart the computer.
*as soon as BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until the Advanced Options menu appears.
*Use the arrow keys to select the Safe mode menu item
*press Enter.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following file, and DELETE it:

c:\windows\system32\xyecref.exe

Exit Explorer, and REBOOT BACK INTO NORMAL MODE

Finally, RUN Hijackthis again and produce a new HJT log. Post it in the forum so we can check how everything looks now.

Your log looks good. If you have no more malware-related problems that you are aware of, just give me the OK and we can start the final but essential cleanup procedures.

It is an orphaned icon, in my opinion, that's all. Nothing to worry about.

Congratulations, your log shows that your SYSTEM IS CLEAN

There are a few things you must do once you are completely clean:

1. Reset and Re-enable your System Restore to remove bad files from the backup that Windows makes as no program is able to clean those files:

TO DISABLE SYSTEM RESTORE
1. Right-click "My Computer", and then left click "Properties".
2. Left click on "System Restore Tab"
3. Check box beside "Turn Off System Restore"
4. Left click on "Apply"

TO ENABLE SYSTEM RESTORE
1.Remove check mark from "Turn Off System Restore"
2.Click on "Apply"

2. Cleanup the leftovers. Download CleanUP! - Cleans temporary files from IE and Windows, empties the recycle bin and more. Great tool to help speed up your computer and knock out those nasties that like to reside in the temp folders.

3. Finally, Re-hide your System Files and Folders to prevent any future accidents.

Here are some tips to reduce the potential for spyware infection in the future:

Make sure you keep your Windows OS current by visiting Windows update
regularly to download and install any critical updates and service packs. With out these you are leaving the backdoor open.

I strongly recommend installing the following applications:
  • Spywareblaster <= SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed.
  • Spywareguard <= SpywareGuard offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts.
  • How to use Ad-Aware to remove Spyware <= If you suspect that you have spyware installed on your computer, here are instructions on how to download, install and then use Ad-Aware.
  • How to use Spybot to remove Spyware <= If you suspect that you have spyware installed on your computer, here are instructions on how to download, install and then use Spybot. Similar to Ad-Aware, I strongly recommend both to catch most spyware.
To protect yourself further:
  • Spyad <= IE/Spyad places over 4000 websites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will severely impair attempts to infect your system. It basically prevents any downloads (Cookies etc) from the sites listed, although you will still be able to connect to the sites.
  • MVPS Hosts file <= The MVPS Hosts file replaces your current HOSTS file with one containing well know ad sites etc. Basically, this prevents your coputer from connecting to those sites by redirecting them to 127.0.0.1 which is your local computer
  • Google Toolbar <= Get the free google toolbar to help stop pop up windows.
And also see TonyKlein's good advice
So how did I get infected in the first place? (My Favorite)
