reezi,

Welcome to the GTG Forums, I will be reviewing your HJT log.
Please read "ALL" of the instructions before proceeding:

You may want to print out these instructions for a reference or you can
save them by copying and pasting them into notepad and saving the text file to the desktop.

We need to do a few things, please follow the instructions in the order in which they are posted.

Download CWShredder
And save it to your desktop.
Close all open browser windows and any other open windows.

Install CWShredder, then:

Open CWShredder and click Check for Updates
Then click "FIX"
Once the the program has finished running, click exit.

Now scan with HJT and place a checkmark next to each of the following items:

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {00A6FAF6-072E-44cf-8957-5838F569A31D} - C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\SrchAstt\2.bin\MWSSRCAS.DLL

O2 - BHO: MyWebSearch Search Assistant BHO - {00A6FAF1-072E-44cf-8957-5838F569A31D} - C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\SrchAstt\2.bin\MWSSRCAS.DLL

O4 - Global Startup: MyWebSearch Email Plugin.lnk = C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\bar\2.bin\MWSOEMON.EXE

O8 - Extra context menu item: &Search - http://bar.mywebsear...?p=ZRxdm407YYAU

O9 - Extra button: Related - {c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a} - C:\WINDOWS\web\related.htm
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Show &Related Links - {c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a} - C:\WINDOWS\web\related.htm

O16 - DPF: {1D4DB7D2-6EC9-47A3-BD87-1E41684E07BB} - http://ak.imgfarm.co...up1.0.0.8-2.cab

Close all browsers and open windows except HJT, then click the Fix Checked button. Close HJT.

Enable show hidden files and folders:

* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

Now go to MyComputer, then find and remove the following folders/files if present:

C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\ <-- Folder
C:\WINDOWS\web\related.htm <-- File

Run the CleanUp program:

Now reboot your system and do the following:

Make sure you have the latest versions of:
Spybot S&D 1.04
Ad-Aware SE 1.06

I have included some setup instructions.

Spybot S&D Setup
Ad-Aware SE Setup

Update and run both of these programs, remove anything they find.
Once you have done this, reboot and post back a new HJT log by using Add Reply

Thanks,

reezi,
OK, your log is looking much better.
The new backup file on your desktop is for HJT, DO NOT remove it.

We need to do a few things yet.

Please submit this file to both of these online virus scanners.
It will be located in either of these directories:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\IPP4Detect.exe
C:\WINDOWS\IPP4Detect.exe

Jotti File Scan
Kaspersky File Scan

Once these scan are done, please copy and paste the information back into this thread by using Add Reply

Thanks,
rstones12

reezi,

I would recommend that if you don't have the current versions of Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware SE to update them so they are current:

The newest versions are:
Spybot S&D 1.4
Ad-Aware SE 1.06

Here are some instructions on how to set them up:

Before installing the newest version of Spybot S&D, make sure to remove the older version in your Add-Remove Programs.
Spybot Setup

Ad-Aware SE Setup

Update these to the newest reference files, run both of these programs and remove anything they find.
Once you have done this, please post back a new HJT log by using Add Reply

Thanks,
